Turns out Fortnite Chapter 3 is the first Unreal Locomotive 5 game

We've been thirstily awaiting whatever shiny young graphics Unreal Engine 5 has in store since the first exhibit debuted in May 2020. It turns out, the real Unreal Engine 5 was ahead of us all along in the strain of Fortnite Chapter 3.
Unreal Engine's official Chitter account confirmed the news Tuesday.
With the arrival of Chapter 3, @FortniteGame development has flipped to Unreal Engine 5.We're excited to share this journey with you and are working to get to this the best experience possible for the entire Fortnite community.December 7, 2021
The newest level of the comprehensive battle royale required a bigger-than-sane update to begin with this hebdomad, which makes sense now knowing that Imitation Engine 5 is behind new mechanics like log-devastation, lightning, and motortruck-swirling tornadoes.
Epic showed off the new weather and environment effects in the Chapter 3 overview pok, but currently the only one you can look to recover in-game is the log-cutting.
Avowedly, clipping those logs is jolly fun, straight though it seems restricted to the large redwoods surrounding Logjam Lumberyard. Chopping a redwood tree diagram spawns a humongous log, but also explodes the rest of the tree, and the succeeding fall is plenty to make anyone holler "Timber!"
You can likewise whack the log around with your pickaxe, resulting in some pretty hilarious physical science mishaps. Enjoy this drift from when dueling logs worked together to crush a semi motortruck and pass explode into the sky.
I also managed to capture several logs to separate into a lake and float downriver to a completely different lake. I'm basically a lumberjack now.
Silly fun though it English hawthorn be, it's obviously not the significant leap in inflammation, environmental point, and physics that we saw in the freehand UE5 demo, or in subsequent demo worlds built away developers. That's fine, though. Chapter 2's introduction was by all odds a stylistic and written upgrade from the game's early stages, but Fortnite's cartoonish style has served it swell as it gobbles up franchises left and letter-perfect, turn anything vaguely humanoid into a new skin.
I've reached exterior to Poem to see if the Unreal Engine 5 implementation has whatever implications for Creative Mode, where players can gain their own maps and adventures. Last we heard in mid-2020, Creative Mode was passing to get stuffed mod support, custom asset integration, and evening existent-fourth dimension redaction capabilities thanks to UE5. Unfortunately, we hold no idea when that's organism fully implemented.
